Strawberry Hill Code of Conduct

1. Respect your moderators.
     a. Please listen to a moderator’s instructions or advice. Poor treatment – abusing them in any way or form – may lead to a warning or an eventual ban. If you feel they are being unfair, however, please note the group.

2. Respect your fellow members.
     a. This is a very stressed, necessary rule. Please treat your fellow members with the same respect you desire to be treated with. Everyone is equal here, and there will be no discrimination or rude treatment in any way. Failing to follow this rule can lead to a banning.

3. No godmodding.
     a. Do not power play. If you do not know the definition of this word, look it up online. There are plenty of dictionaries for you to use on the internet.

4. Keep things PG-13.
     a. Foul language shouldn’t be used in any situation – especially in the chatroom – and failure to follow this rule can result in a warning and a ban if relentlessly continued. In regards to sexual content, nothing should be above harmless displays of affections. Anything more extreme should be taken to a private chat system or notes.

5. If you are uncomfortable with a situation, you do not need to continue.
     a. We would like to make everyone comfortable within the group, but cannot moderate roleplay outside the chatroom. Just remember, if a fellow member makes you uncomfortable, please do not continue.

6. Parenthesis or brackets are needed during a roleplay in the chatroom.
     a. OOC conversations during a roleplay must be specified by either brackets [] or parenthesis (). This is to easily distinguish between conversation and the main RP.

7. With the chatroom, please take conflicts outside.
     a. No one wants to see violence occur as it may be harmful to some people, and if the moderators are needed, please let us know.

8. Topic changes should be heeded within the chatroom.
     a. Some members may be uncomfortable with specific topics, and if asked to change from one to another, heed the individual or moderator. We want to provide a comfortable environment for everyone.

9. Please do not use tracing or bases for your art.
     a. We encourage everyone to draw – beginner or professional – as this will be an art and even literature styled group with a major emphasis on drawing. In regards to tracing, it is a serious violation that may result in banning, and despite such methods being simple to use, we highly encourage members to improve; only exception is using such an image as a reference. Bases are unacceptable as well, and each are first punished with a warning, and then a kick from the group if attempted again.

10. Submitted literature must be more than 500 words.
     a. Please do not submit anything less. Every member has the potential of comprising an entry with a far greater amount of words, and 500 is the bare minimum to be accepted into the folder section within the group.

11. Notify the group if there are changes to your account.
     a. If you are switching accounts or changing usernames, please notify the group before you commit to such changes. It is better we know ahead of time so we may accept your application on the different account.

12. Note the group directly if there are any concerns.
     a. Please, avoid notifying individual moderator accounts if we cannot get to you right away. We are not obliged to respond – nor are the moderators. We are human, too, and have lives outside of Deviantart.

Student Guidelines
     1. Respect your elders.
     2. You may run for Etoile as many times as you like as long as you have a partner, but be fair about it.
     3. Curfew is eight o’ clock sharp; failure to be on time will result in your being locked out.
     4. Do not harass the nuns. (They’re very elderly so their digestive systems might malfunction if you startle them.)
     5. Follow all proper rules and etiquette.
     6. Do not run in the halls.
     7. No physical confrontations; all violence will be met with strict punishment.
     8. No pets allowed on campus unless special permission is granted.
